Sells had put up a company a while back and Fat Cat had a guy that made bare ones for like $2 each. Anything over $5 is to much for me. Fortunately they seem to multiply in my garage. Lost about 50 jigs fishing last week and still have a bucket full. So basically, I don’t know of a hook up per say. I’ll buy any cheap jig because It won’t last more than a day and if the finish sucks I can reskin it.
Maybe I’m a klepto, I have no idea where they come from.

Overstockbait.com has had a bunch of bomber jigs (darter and vamp) from 3oz-7oz on sale for quite some time. I just got a bunch from them from a Black Friday sale with free shipping and pretty cheap. The 5oz jigs are $2.99 each now. The only problem is that you can only order 3 of a specific color at a time, but with JigSkinz, who cares! Better quality jigs than the other site, if you can get them on sale.

No. A few companies make them. Owner, Spro and a bunch of high end Japanese companies. Even on “good” tackle, Yo-Zuri, Shimano, etc. I change all the terminal tackle before I fish it. Usually #170 and under split rings are good. It will depend on the hook size and lure you are using. Always the smallest you can get away with in mind.
