What are your thoughts in table fare vs yellowfin and blackfin. I know the Japanese live them but have heard they were oily,

I typically only eat the bluefin raw, it is far superior to bft and yft that way. Once you start to cook tuna they all become very similar, IMO.
Nice fish, Courtland. My boys kept saying, “look at all the blood!!” LOL! That fish would have made my day for sure.

I debated whether to put it up because of that. Harvesting food and game for personal consumption is an important part of my life. It is something to be respected and taken seriously, especially when teaching children about life and death as well as bag limits and seasons. I hope it wasn’t to much for them. That fish was appreciated by all it fed.
