johns island/ wadmalaw island kayak launches

does anyone know of any good launches for kayaks(other than the common boat landings) on the stono? PM me if you dont want to share with the world. ive been looking on google maps and see some possible places, just dont know if they are private or public. thanks in advance.

I fish around Lime House a lot too, some other good spots to put in would be great to know of as well. The biggest thing I worry about is leaving my truck somewhere where it might not be there when I get back.

I wish I did, I’ve been looking for the same thing for a minute now. I have thought about throwing a random Craigslist ad out there looking for some private access. Maybe barter a couple bucks or a 12 pack of “cold ones” for some private access. All I know are the public ones. I use and like Toogoodoo but I’m sure you do too if your asking about the area. Steamboat is cool but a hike. I’ve actually never tried Bulow but have been wanting to. I haven’t really found anyone that can tell me much about Bulow. I work out of town and only get to come back about once a month but If your ever looking for someone to fish the area…let me know. I’ve been trying to find someone that fishes that side of town. I think the Wando and places like that just have to much traffic at times.

about bulow: http://old.charlestonfishing.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=119133 and you guys are right about wando and other side of town being crowded. nobody really fishes the wadmalaw sound area but i read the book reds from haddrells and it says all the techniques and some spots for that area, good luck fishing it!

There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.

Bulow has been fine for me. Used it twice a few weeks ago and both times I never saw anyone else there or had anything happen to my truck. If youve never been there, you should go but make sure you pay attention where you are if you go right from the landing. It can be a bit confusing

exchange landing road on johns island. dead ends at the water and is a decent launch or shore fishing spot

OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME THE ENEMY OF FREEDOM.

I have fished Bulow A good bit. I have much better luck in the summer months than the winter months. No problems at the landing as of yet. We did show up one morning to find a Chevy Trailblazer dumped in the river so there is certainly a few undesirables that hang out down there. PM me if anyone wants to fish it sometime.

PM sent Brady. And just throwing it out there to anyonelse too, I am planning on going out sunday and finally giving it a shot. If anyone is intersted on that day let me know. I could use someone showing me around the area some. I am going to Google that spot on Johns Island that Bad Habit was cool enough to share. Thanks man.
