Johnson 25 Hp 2 Stroke

I finally got my Johnson 25hp Jon boat motor running again. Simple fix, new plugs and new starter switch. Ran great, only now I have what appears to be oil leaking from around the hub, not a lot but enough to cause concern. What am I possibly looking at in a repair?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

probably not oil
probably carbon build up mixed with exhaust and unburnt fuel

check the gear oil and see if its milky or not
if not, its coming from the engine

I had that same engine and it did the same thing. It would leave a black spot in my driveway. Like Chris said if you check your foot oil and it isn’t milky more than likely it’s just carbon buildup and unburnt fuel. If you haven’t changed your foot oil recently I’d do that as a preventative measure.
