For fishing on a saltwater fed lake with trolling motor propulsion, jon boat or wide canoe? On rare occasions, grandchildren in town, need space for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Standing to fish in a canoe is remarkably easy with a little practice.
Still with 2 adults and 2 kids jon boat is the way to go
