Jon boat renovation

Ok so I’ve decided to renovate my 1648 lowe jon boat and give her a fresh coast of paint and a nice update. Have a local guy here in myrtle fabricating a nice one piece aluminum floor, trolling motor mount and a few other additions, as well I’m rewiring the whole boat myself.

I have one question though, I have no idea as to what type of surface prep/primer/paint combination will work best on the aluminum. I want to do this right so it will last a long time as the hull is still in great shape despite being 17yrs old. any suggestions or real world advice on this?

I am sure that someone on this site will know the answer, but you can also check tinboats.net. Those guys eat, sleep, and breathe jon boats and some of the mods and refurbs are really impressive.
