Jon boat

I’m looking at a 2005 dura craft 1860 Jin boat
90 Mercury 2 stroke. Boat-freshwater, any thoughts on boat? I have a place at Edisto and want a job boat for shrimping and crabing in the creeks. Have a 24 cc seapro already, wsnt something smaller to take grand daughter shrimping and crabing. Any thoughts? Can get for $6500?
Thank you

I’ve got an 1860 riveted jon, and have hunted/fished all over the southeast with it. With the width you get very shallow draft. Mine has a 50 on it and would be perfect with a 60. With a 90 you may have trouble trolling for flounder. The boat is a bit big for small saltwater creeks, but I’ve never had anyone tell me they hated the extra room.

DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!
The harder you work, the luckier you’ll get.

Thank you

Good boat, but price is too high for a 10 year old aluminum Jon boat with a 25 year old engine. I’d be thinking more like $4500.

That’s a lot of HP for an 18’ aluminum jon boat too! I had a 18’ Grumman with a 75 Merc that was scary fast. Dangerous in the wrong hands [:0]

I don’t think it is 1990 I think the HP is 90, I would assume the motor is a 2005 90 hp merc 2 stroke, at least that how I read it, but then again I did graduate from hanahan high school

Sorry, I also think I mis-read that. It would make the price much more in-line.
