July 29th Charter on ADAMADA

Took Ranny and some clients of Wando Concrete out today, left the dock at 4:00 in the morning, got to the ledge just as the sun was cracking the horizin. Put lines out and picked up a nice king right away. Only 2 other boats out there today and sounded like they had a rather slow bite. We were steady all day, ended the day with:

2 kings, one about 35 lbs and lost another at the boat

6 dolphin

1 30 lb wahoo

1 big amber jack

1 really small black fin tuna (small being about 8 inches long)

a bonita and a bunch of cudas

Had a white marlin eat upthe teaser, but wouldn’t bite the pitch bait, only bill we saw all day.

Everybody had a real good time and plan another trip in October. Sorry, no pics on this trip, camera at the house.

Sounds like a good trip…the waves werent bad? And check your PM’s

Was a great trip, wind was a little stiff, 15-20 with 4-5 and some 6’s, but the ADAMADA can handle it well, will hit it again on Friday and maybe Saturday, want to find some of those sails. Blue water has moved a little more off shore, but a lot of good fish on the ledge.

how far is a little more off shore?

Hard to tell til you get there, look for the color change and clean water, usually will have a temp break along with it and sometimes a current edge, you just got to get out there and look for it. I will be there in the morning looking myself. I went straight out Wed, got out past the ledge couple miles and water was still green, and no bites, came back to ledge and picked up meat fish. Radio chatter was talking cleaner water to the north of me, but that was Wednesday, things change out there in a hurry.

Whens the best times to go out for wahoo, dolphin, and tuna…about the only things i’d love to catch…and how far out?

hey, ill be out there tomorrow, saturday, looking for the blue water. We just ran up between the 226 and 380 and we were covered in the sailfish. I guess we gonna try same area again tomorrow. Maybe a little further beyond 226 tomororw it looks like. you can see it on terrafin that the currents are shifting daily.
We will be on 65, BE RIGHT BACK is the boat, im am ryan. hit us if you can.
Crowbird, dolphin may and june, still some around but not like earlier in the season, wahoo about a month ago even now, tuna bite is slow this year. catching a lot on the ledge. troll form 120ft-250ft and back, should pick up some cudas too.

seachaser, in your post you said that you fished the 280 line. now you were between the 226 and 380. sounds like you might have been in the bermuda triangle. hope you don’t get lost out there.
