June 4 Winyah Scarp

A bit rougher ride than the weatherman had said. First fish hooked up with the second line in, unfortunately missed nice Mahi and waited another hour for second hook up. Ended up with 9 Mahi, and nice 40lb wahoo. Missed 4 and caught 3 barracuda as well. Fish were everywhere 150 to 350 feet of water, no weed around and 81 degree water all over.
Even with it being rough ended up a fun day on the water.

Nice report. I have family coming in this upcoming weekend from Jacksonville and I’m really hoping to put them on fish. Considering if I can find a good day is hit SW Banks and head towards GT hole in search of fish.

just returned from Edisto, spotty weedline at 300 and right at the ledge…dolphin a plenty under the grass. we then trolled to the Charleston hump and had some knockdowns and tuna sound on us. put the squids out at dusk and had one sword dice it up. S and D were n by nw at 3 knots. lines in at 430 am and ran back to the ledge where the dolphin were the day before but they decided to leave us alone. got to the dock at noon the following day with some hilarious stories and a bit bigger Johnson. That hump is crazy cool. Lots of bait, the sonar looked like every spot we drifted over we were going to hook up. thermocline at 50 out there

I may be out there with you on Saturday if the seas cooperate.
