June meet and fish?

I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas. I have the next two weekends off and would like to get out on the water.

This coming weekend is the IFA tournament, so a lot of folks will be doing that - maybe the following weekend would be better? Whatcha think?

I vote for the following weekend. I’m off both Saturday and Sunday so could definitely make the Meet and Greet

chris, I want to fish copahee on sunday and or sat. sat I work till 2pm, low is at 2:08. there were a lot of fish bustin up in the grass last week but still could not get a hook in one, but I know I am closing in on my first SC red. open invite… copahee sat afternoon or sunday?.. or both? tight lines TD

I would love to get in on a meet and fish, just need directions as I only have one place I drop in at.

Im down for sunday… Working the weekend up until then

I’m just wondering when yakmans gonna make One of these!

I’ve been waiting to respond, still watching weather. Sunday looks to be the better day. Probably know something by tomorow. Doug I am down for Sunday. Looks like the guys are busy with the tournament. I guess we can shoot for next Sunday, just have to figure out where. I guess we need suggestions. I haven’t fished Bull’s Bay or Quinby Creek yet. Either may be fun. Bully’s Bay looks similar to Copahee, shallow oyster beds and acces to the ocean. Quinby Creek ties into the Cooper, rice feilds and swamp, supposed to be thick with Large Mouth And Bream. Lemme know. Good luck to he guys going the IFA tourney.

I would love to give it a whirl. Need advice on minimal tackle required to seize the day. I have the kayak and a light spinning combo. What license, bait, wt. mono, rig, etc. should i bring. I don’t expect much success but i would like to meet up and enjoy the company. Thanks

howdy all… hey chris, copahee this sunday and either bulls or Q creek sounds great to me for next sunday! some fresh water sounds like fun…but bulls sounds really cool as well! lets hear what some other folks thoughts are and we can go from there…low is at 2:47pm on sunday for copahee… do you want to fish the ebb tide early or the flood in the afternoon? might be better to try to catch some fish coming out of the grass then trying to catch them going up into it on the flood tide… what do you think? high tide is at 9:07am. come one come all… copahee sound 6/9/13. tight lines TD

PM sent.

What was decided on the meet and fish?

Still waiting to hear from the guys. I scoped out the landing at Quinby Creek. It looks nice. Water is sheltered, plenty deep at dead low tide and lots of overhanging trees. Closest landing to Bulls Bay looks like Garris Landing at Seewee Bay. It’s about a 2 mile paddle to Bulls Bay but there is plenty of good spots on Seewee Bay. I am fine with either. Just found out next Sunday is Fathers Day. I still want to get out, not sure when I can get out again, working weekends for a while.

I’m not going to be able to make next Saturday…remembered I have a previous engagement scheduled. Good luck and safe fishing if you guys end up getting together!

We will not be able to make it as Zach will be at the Spurrier football camp.
