i went up to clarks hill for three days of largmouth bass fishing the past 3 days. (sunday thru tuesday). we were fishing in our annual club travel bass tournament. i’ve done real well in the past years throwing topwater baits on points up there this time of the year. almost every long tapering point is loaded with stripers and hybrids this year. no schooling activity but throw a topwater plug like a sammy and most of the time you won’t get it back to the boat without a striper attached to it! so if you want to catch 3-5 lb. stripers clarks hill should be the place. we fished out of dorn landing. oh yeah, we caught about 40 lm over the three days but they were all small 1-2 lb fish largest we caught was 3 lbs.
