Years ago while heading off shore I decided to have some fun.We left the jetty anchor about 3am heading to the ledge.Other boats were still anchored when we left.About an hour out I dumped about half a gallon of some old menhaden oil I had that was about 3 years old.Took some fish heads and guts I froze for the crab trap.Yes I cleaned out the freezer.We hit the numbers and as the Sun came up heard the other boats yelling like crazy.They spotted a slick and birds were working. I will leave the rest to you off shore guys imagination.
I do that on lake murray with crackers when people are chasing the schooling striper. Always funny to watch 10 boats go busting in on some gulls eating crackers
