Just Released 5/9/13

Words cannot express how happy we were to finally be able to fish! Left City Marina around 445 and took a pretty good beating for the ride out. Made it out to about 250 ft in 72 degree water along the 300 line and started fishing. Immediately started catching dolphin. The fish were aggressive and had multiple double headers. After catching about 8, we switched up to some lures and moved offshore looking for billfish. Didn’t have any luck with stick fish, so came back into 350 feet and started right back up catching dolphin. Had multiple triple headers. The last triple header, each dolphin had a buddy with them so we pitched baits and caught 6 on the last bit of action for the day. It was an awesome ride back in and we can’t wait to get back out there. Hottest water we saw was 74.3.

Any size to the dolphin? Were you hooking dolphin at the ledge or mostly in the shallower water?

All dolphin were good size. No peanuts. In fact slung a few dolphin right off the hook that I should have gaffed. All fish between 250-400 feet. Real thick
