Hoped the weatherman was off a little and scoffed at the full moon (see discuss offshore ) He was on, caught lots of short a/reds and grupers and a ton of small bsb’s. we spent most of a very slow day in 70ft. looking at good fish on the recorder but catching only small ones. the only good bite was the grey triggers, went to our go to hole for a quick limit of bsb’s & the same thing, lots of small ones. kept a few for dinner & enjoyed some awsome civiche on the way in made with some unfortunate short, I mean a/reds that were fortunate to grace our scoopers!
If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
Bug catcher we where out there but not as far how you doing. Wheather man had it rigth didnt he. We need to hook up on another long range trip. Lot of my go to holes where short on size fish to . Seasons are changing time to get ready for the dolphin run.
Will be ready any time the weather is right,we wanted to go out to 90’ but were worried about the ride in. my son brought a “91” 24’cc with twin 200s.(2001 motors) we been working on it between turkey hunts rewiring & all just trying to make sure we are rite when the season gets right. I really don’t have a big enough boat to go to the stream in all weather, but if the weather is good we go every chance we can. Ill wait untill the dolphin are here for sure, I cant go that far just to try them, at the price of fuel. Im in the trucking bus. & $4.10 is about to put me under. Just give me a shout, Ill go next weekend if the weather is good.
