LHeading out to Kauai for a work trip in late May. Has anybody fished offshore there and if so could you recommend a good charter?

Fishing can be very good be just understand the customs of them keeping the fish and killing the blues. If you want to keep the fish and release billfish you need to be upfront with them and negotiate what you want. They are accustomed to tourists not real fishermen so they usually keep all the fish and send them home with pictures…lol. When I fished there they gave us all we really wanted to take back to the resort and have the chef make sushi and sashimi. I was also there on business and we had nightly business dinner functions and daily excursions so there was absolutely nothing I could do with all the fish we caught anyway. I arranged the trip for a bunch of guys that had never been and they had a great time. If it were up to me we would have just chased blues all day but I was there to entertain them and they just wanted to catch a bunch of fish so I accomplished that for them and one guy even threw up from reeling in tuna…lol.
