With kayak should I fish 2 hrs before to 2 hrs after high tide, or is there a different tide preference?
I will be fishing mostly within 50 yards of shore or structure, usually much closer. My best surf / pier fishing has been just past or just inside the first breakers. If this is like So FL, areas where the water is suddenly ‘busy’ should be good too.
Fishing will be 100% inshore, targeting food fish only.
I like fishing on both sides of the low personally…the reds will be in the waterways along structure and on the flats vs being up in the grass.

Creek fishing I prefer mid to low tide also but it all depends on where you’re fishing. If you have access to good flats then obviously high tide works too. Good flats to me are just flats that don’t have too much grass. It makes it easier to spot the fish and navigate your boat or line to them.
