Anyone been there previously to answer teh following:
Do most lines have demos there?
Are demo rides easily arranged?
Can one expect discount on boats bought that day?
Are demo boats themselves usually for sale that day?
I’m lookin to add a couple kayaks for casual fishin’ and for kids and friends to paddle around creeks/ rivers of JI and Folly.
I’m going tomorrow PM-just trying to set my expectations.
Thanks,
thanks,

I don’t know but feel free to buy me a yak while you’re at it…
I don’t lie about the fish I catch… I just remember them bigger…
I went last year.
Most of the kayak manufactures or local shops there have demos to try out on the lake.
Demo rides were easy to get last year (except during the thunderstorms)
I know someone that bought a kayak last year and got a decent discount.
I don’t know if they have demos for sale.
hope that helps

Stickman,
Most manufacturers are represented out there with demo boats. The factory reps are out there on the lake, most with their full lines available.
To demo, you are officially supposed to register for the day. The sampler package is $15 and allows unlimited demos, and access to many of the classes. Registration is usually across the lake by the dog park (i think this is where they direct you to park anyway.) Go ahead and register while you are over there, so you don’t have to go back over.
Most dealers are discounting boat and accessories and running good “Show Specials”. At our booth for Time Out Sport and Ski, we are selling most boats at at least 10% off. Some boats are marked down up to $800 at our place.
Most of the demo boats are not for sale since most of these reps are just starting out with their demo season. There are some exceptions, so ask the reps if they are selling their demos. (Most will do so through one of there dealers that are on site)
Come by and see me at our booth, we are the big Blue and White tent lakefront, right about in the center of the event.
