I regretfully did not get to meet up with everyone at the oyster roast this past weekend but I would like to suggest that we set up a formal meeting at Time Out Sport and Ski in Mt Pleasant on Saturday Feb. the 11th. I know that not everyone will be able to make this event but there will be others in the future. I will have to get approval from Dolphin before I can set up a definite time, but we should really get this process moving forward while the interest is still hot. My goals for this meeting will be to do a meet and greet, establish someone/s to lead the group from that point forward, and weather permitting hit the water for a few hours after to do a little fishing with everyone. If anyone has any suggestions or input please feel free so share/add.
Thanks

so this " kayak club" is for us on charlestonfishing.com ? or is it some other type of group? i just got into kayak fishing a few months ago, and if this club is for charlestonfishing.com members id love to be a part of it.
Hey guys, I don’t mind doing something here at the store on Saturday, but it would have to be before we open at 10 or after 6. Sunday we could do it sometime before 12 or after 5.
I personally would not mind a Sunday morning meeting at the water somewhere!
I really do not feel that meeting on the water will not work well to get a club organized. There is a lot to decide…Officers, a committee to work an Federal Employee ID, By-Laws, etc. just me two cents. I would think that yak4redfish would prefer that we establish the club on the right feet.
The meeting will be at Time Out at 12pm, but we are going to have to do any formal work outside due to a lack of space. I will bring forms for people to fill out to get everyone’s information organized and we will dicuss further action about starting the club. I imagaine it will not last much more than an hour and then those that would like can take off and do some fishing.

I’d love to join you guys but, I will be spending my annual Weekend Without the Kids weekend at the beach with my lovely wife. We only get one a year so I’d better not miss it. Besides, I may get lucky. Ya’ll have fun!
I suspect I won’t make it either. I’ve been sick with the crud so far this week and probably won’t have Saturday free. Those who do make it, keep the rest of us posted on any developments.
Thanks,
John
