kayak fishing newb

hey everyone. i just moved to Charleston from Richmond, Va and im a kayak fishing newb. truthfully, i dont have but so much fishing experience in general. my knowledge is pretty limited. i grew up fishing for croaker and spot on the Rappahannock River in VA, but havent even done that in years. ive been into recreational kayaking for a while. my brother followed suit but got really into the fishing side of it. got in tight with some guys on TKAA.org, a site like this but for the Tidewater/VA Beach area. he got me out on the water with him a couple times and i was hooked! pardon the pun. bought a used WS Tarpon 140 rigged and ready to go. im really liking it. cant wait to get it in the water here. the problem is that i dont know anything about the area or fishing it. im basically in need of someone to show me the ropes, and the area. anyone wanna take a newb under their wing?
