Kayak for sale on craigslist

Well I thought it was about time that I get myself a new/used kayak for myself since my heritage is getting old. I have been surfing craigslist for a while now in search of the right one. I found that the ride 135 is a good upgrade for me and came across the link below in north Carolina. It says it is damaged but has been repaired and I really don’t know if a once damaged kayak is a good buy. Please feel free to comment on whether you think the buy is worth it or if it’s a piece of junk. This buy will probably not work out for me as I am not willing to go all the way to nc to pick one up but am curious to know yalls opinions. Thanks!

That’s not a bad deal if the repair was done right. Lots of extras with that boat!

That’s a long ride for a yak. The pick up cost might warrant spending a bit more closer to home.

I wouldn’t automatically shy away from a repaired boat.

I saw that one after I bought mine and it was tempting to get it just for the price. I paid $700 for a Ride 135 with roof racks, paddle, and PFD. I had a buddy of mine pick it up near Holden Beach. What I didn’t know at the time was how old it was. What I found out is that you can tell they year it was built based on the serial number on the hull. It’s either the first two or last two denote the year it was made. I was happy to see that it was a 2010 model.

But like other posters, you can find something a little closer to home. You might pay a little more, but it will balance out the travel time and gas money. Good luck!

BUT! If you only live say…an hour away. You might go look at it. I don’t think I’m tied down tomorrow. Thanks for the lead.
