A drift sock will just slow your drift. I’ve never used one on my yak, but I have used them in boats. The right anchor will hold you in place…so it really depends on what you’re wanting to do.

After comments here and talking to others I have decided to not try anchor this time out…just want to get the feeling of being on the water fishing…if I drift I drift…do have stake out pole for shallow areas
