Does anyone in the area rent Kayaks. We are headed down in July and I would like to try one out for a couple of days before seeing if I would want one for bay/surf fishing??

Tprice, I manage Time Out Sports in Mt. Pleasant (www.timeoutsports.net or (843) 388-6266). We rent boats from necky and Wilderness Systems for $35 a day (24 hours) including all gear. If you are looking for a weekly rental, we can work that out as well. Feel free to call me here at the store (mon-sat 10-6 and sun 1-5) to pick my brain or reserve a boat. We do have a few Wilderness Systems Tarpon Sit on tops all rigged out for fishing with rod holder and rudders. Check us out!

i went to to Folly Beach friday evening to let the kids swim after dinner and noticed several people kayaking near Crosby’s seafood right on Folly Road. then i noticed a sign at Crosby’s Seafood saying they rent Kayaks there… dont know if they have fishing specific kayaks, or surf kayaks or what as these folks were off in the distance, but it is somewhere to check out. they have deep water creek access right there, if you arent familiar with the location.
