Kayak Seat "Cushion"??????

I have a 2012 Ride 135 with the original seat that slides into the rails built into the hull. The seat itself is comfortable but, I would like to add some padding as sitting for several hours gets a little rough on the behind. Ultimately I’d like to upgrade to the newer seat systems available for that yak but don’t have the money for that right now. Does someone make a decent seat cushion for kayaks that works well? I tried a standard boat seat/throw cushion, that isn’t what I am looking for. I want something that won’t feel like I just stuck a pillow in the seat.

Any thoughts/input appreciated.

We give away some “Skwoosh” brand seat cushions every year at the Jax tournament; I’ve heard good things about them.

You could try a kids blow up float with a towel on it, I saw a guy who had one and he said it worked well for back relief and he adjusted many times a day so he could change the feel to further reduce pain.

How about a inflatable hemorrhoid donut? I know a guy who uses one and swears by it.

I have same yak and picked up one of these

works great, straps hold it in place , I haven’t removed it since I bought it

lookup pilot seats. they are cushions that pilots use for sitting on during ocean crossings. I have one it works great. the extra inch on the seat takes some getting used to though.

DFreedom,
I scored you a Skwooah seat pad from the Jax Tourney. How can I get it to you?

Are you serious? I will pay you for it, let me know what you want for it.
