Hunting Island is at the end of Highway 21 in near Beaufort. We will be having a unofficial yak fishing tourney on 4-5 November…come on down.

Looking like this will have some decent participation this year. Had only 6 show up last year, already I see closer to 20 planning on making it this year.
The plan is to fish all day Saturday, and then rendesvous at the campground and have some Low Country Boil / Burgers / beverages of choise andtell lies…errr fish stories!
Three are planning on having campsites that I know of…hopefully close together to make thinsg easier on everyone.

I have a surfrod that has been used for that purpose ONCE, at Hunting Island. Caught some Whiting and Small Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks.
I might have to look into the September 23 thing… Oh wait, Football!..hmmmm… I will see. X_Fishn, you into a trip north for something like this?
BTW SC Surfman, Hunting Island Beach is a great place to surf fish from.
