I have a trailer that i found and im going to convert it to a kayak trailer. The only issue is that the tongue needs to be extended. The problem is that this trailer tongue is not a boxed frame, but a channel. Does anyone have an idea to make this job a little easier.
How about matching channel with a sleeve either bolted or welded on.
That could work. I just have to figure out which one to do. Welded or bolted.
Trailex uses a channel style tongue, and uses 2 L style brackets to couple the two tongue pieces together. Seems to work really well!
