I’ve seen some kayak carts on the web, but want to build one myself. My 70# boat is a pain in the arse to carry to the truck after a day on the water. Has anyone built one that can collapse and keep in the hatch?

Dependingon how mechanically inclined you are I am sure with some PVC and wheels you should be able to make some thing. I was thinkning about the same thing and have an idea on how I want to do it but haven’t actually tried it yet… I’ll let ya know how it turns out…

if yours is a sit on top, i have seen it where the 2 pvc pipes go straight up through the scupper holes.

That helps a ton. I’ve been here a year and a half now and have yet to wet the hull of either of my boats. I’m hoping to launch the 'yak and fish Shem Creek/Crab Bank one day this week, weather permitting, but you know how advance planning goes. See ya’ll on the water.
