Key West Rental

A lot of people have been helpful to me on this site in the past. Anybody have any contacts or recommendations of a cheap place to stay in key west during march? I am trying to get down there for a week with some friends but money is tight with us continuing to build up debt in grad school. Not looking for anything special or fancy, just a roof over our heads and trying to find something around $1,000 or so for 5-6 nights. Probably a long shot, but figured I would at least see if anyone had any recommendations or could help.

Email is probably best, I am at school/work from about 8 am to 8 pm every day. Thanks

Try VRBO.com. I have used them for years and never been dissatisfied. We are staying in Islamorada in April for a week, with dockage for less than $1,000. You may also want to try homeaway.com and tripadvisor.

Southwind. Stayed there one night, nothing fancy by any means but got tyhe job done.

For a little more money I would highly recommend the Truman. Great place!

Yes, taking the boat. How big? The boat 18’, the house 2 BR, 2BA, approx. 1,000 sf, 45’ dock, 150’ from open water. We travel on a budget, never looking for anything fancy, just clean with cable, wifi and a good location.

sounds like we have a lot in common…

We spend a couple of weeks down there every year and stay on Cudjoe Key at the Venture Out Resort. It’s about 20 miles above Key West. We rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bath stilt house on a canal, with our boat tied up to the front porch, direct access to the Atlantic or Gulf. Depending on the house we stay in and the season, it’s $1,100- $1,300 for a 7 day week. Less expensive than a motel, and a lot nicer! Has a full kitchen, washer, dryer, everything you need

This is the rental company we have used for the last 5 years without any complaints.
