Heading to Key West in April. Any advice on charters there?

My advice is to walk the docks in the evening and talk to the captains/crew as they come in with their catches and try to set up plans. Or at the very least talk to the captain or crew even if by phone before you book. Don’t buy what they are selling at those booths that broker for lots of boats. Learned the hard way that they can tell you whatever they want and it can be far different from reality when you show up at the dock.
Thanks. I’ll only be there for 1 day though so gotta figure something else out.

What do you want to fish for?
Probably going to do a 5hr charter. Would like to go offshore if possible or atleast to the reefs.

Key west has drift boats which are headboats that dont anchor. Half day is like 40 bones a man. Family friendly cheap and some what good fishing. Ive heard mixed stories from mackeral and bonita slay fest, good snapper fishing to catching every fish you ever heard but all are super small. 7 mile bridge is a good spot to fish from land go for a walk.
