Headed down to Key West for an anniversary trip in July and was looking at doing a kayak rental, probably in one of the keys north of KW. Any one have any experience with a company/location?

The only one I know of for sure is at Robbie’s Marina on Lower Matecumbe. I know there are plenty of others but it depends on where you are going to be. There is a book that details kayak excursions on every key. You may want to check that out, decide where you want to kayak and then go from there. Depending upon your skill level, there are trips for beginners to advanced. Some involve open water and can get kind of strenuous.

There’s a cool place with glass bottom/plexiglass bottom yaks just north of kw…they share a lot with the stone crab restaurant…really good prices, we went through the channel, hung a left and fished the mangroves…my wife and I did well on some nice snappers
