Anybody have any good spots they are willing to share for yakking/fishing down in the keys? Headed down next Tuesday for 10-12 days for some spring break action (hopefully both land and sea.) Plannin’ on throwing the fly out of my kayak in Key West, around the Big Pine Key, and Islamorada areas and maybe some more random spots. Anybody had any previous success down there out of a yak? Thanks in advance for any info.

took my yak down a couple years ago. we stayed at duck key-between marathon and islamorada. i fished with grubs and gulp on jig heads and caught or saw everything that swims down there except permit. all were caught in the harbor between the highway and duck key.
fished grassy flats and
caught trout,reds,bonefish,cudas,jack crevalle, bar jacks,etc.
fishing in the bottom of the ditches in the harbot i caught a couple different kinds of grouper and assorted snappers. also caught a number of sharks. didn’t catch any tarpon or snook but i saw plenty. easy access and easy paddling.
