Kiawah Access by Water?

Anybody know if there will be any access to Kiawah Island by water during the PGA next month? Anybody know the min. depth of Bass Creek at low tide?
Thanks

they can’t close off public water access for the PGA.

how far up Bass Creek?
i can run most of it in a 19’ bay boat at low tide.

OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME THE ENEMY OF FREEDOM.

If you want to actually see some greens you need to go up the creek next to sandy cay. From Bass Creek you can only see cars on the road.

Funny I was thinking of doing the same thing if my daughter doesn’t come up with two tickets for her dad.

stickman, what are the depths up sandy cay creek? I have a 21’ KW Bay Reef (18" drag) which I will have in the water on Folly River that weekend and was wondering how close to the Ocean Course one could get from the inshore waterways.

Are you talking about the last creek on the right when leaving the Stono inlet? It gets extremely shallow at low tide. First off, right as you enter it, the water will be about 1’ deep for 75-100’ it seems deepest along the bank away from the sandy shore.

After you get up in there a little bit it will be pretty deep (4-6 ft) until you reach a bend where there are submerged trees. A little past that I was about hung up in my skiff, which could run in a foot of water and would float in 6". I was way up in there fishing and the tide was dropping. I churned mud and used a push pole for what seemed like forever. It was the first time I thought I was going to have to wait for the tide to change to get out of somewhere.
