Kiawah boat ramp?

Does anyone know if there is a public ramp on Kiawah? Planning on fishing in the area this weekend.

No. You can’t even get through the gate without a pass. Limehouse might me your closest bet but I could be wrong, don’t know that area that well.

closest ramp is sol legare or folly. No public ramp on Kiawah.

Yeah sol lagare puts you out not far down across the river from that area. Coming from folly can be a tricky ride if your not familiar with it.

I think Cherry Point is the closest. That’s where I launched when we stayed there. May be a toss up between there and Limehouse.

Limehouse is a haul to kiawah sol lagare is the closest to kiawah river and bass creek

Kiawah is Yankees only- use the landing on Kiawah river on the right just across the bridge- free and plenty of parking

When you cross the Kiawah river on the small bridge onto the island, just past that is an island on the right. There is a landing there.

I thought it was private, and only a canoe/kayak launch, but could be wrong.

For fishing Kiawah river, Sol Legare boat landing is the closest. If you’re just fishing the “area,” Cherry Point boat landing in Rockville will get you plenty of places to fish, but you won’t be able to run to the Kiawah river.

There is a boat landing on the island at Rhett’s Bluff, but you’d have to be staying on the island and have some other access granted to get back there.

I was thinking of driving convenience to Kiwia. Wasn’t thinking of getting the boat back there to fish. I’ve launched my yaks at the little bridge right before Kiwia. No ramp but great for yaks. Roadside parking only but never had a problem.

It is a private ramp and it is not free. Cost 5.00 per kayak or paddleboard to launch there and no motor boats can put.
