Kiawah fishing

Im headed down to Kiawah during the first week of August. I will not have a boat so ill be strictly limited to the shore. If anyone can point me in the right direction of catching any redfish flounder or trout, I would be greatly appreciated. Also is there anywhere that sells live shrimp or live bait? Any information, help, and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

There is public fishing in beachwalker park near the entrrance to the island and a small tidal inlet. Also, if you follow the main bike trail there is an inlet that has tidal influx and nice benches. I don’t remember the exact location, but is is clearly marked on the map they give you at check-in.

Also, I have not found anyone that sells live bait. If you have a net, there are usually shrimp off the dock at the kayak rental area. The closest live bait store is hadrells. Bohicket marina had a tackle store that sells frozen mullet.
