This weekend i fished in the Kiawah River. The action was slow at first but picked up. I caught a whiting, small shark, and a small stingray. I had lots of bites in which i could not hook up.

where abouts were you fishing? I am heading down tomorrow from Va. Have fished above and around the bridge the past few years w/moderate success…

I am fishing in the inlet between kiawah and seabrook. It might be a long paddle from the bridge but it will be worth it.

do you anchor in there? How deep is the water there…I have fished the inlet before but from the beach…not the yak…actually from where I get on the river the inlet is closer…you plan to be there any next week?
I do anchor their since the current will just end up pulling you all the way back to the creek. As for the depth of the water, my guess is that it is around 10 or so feet. But i am not sure. I might be out their next weekend but i have to see what i have planed. If i do go what color kayak do you have so i know who to look for.

My boat is green…I would have thought it would be MUCH deeper than that,I leave sat. Plan to be out every day mon thru fri… Look me up and show me what I’m doing wrong
