Kiawah

Next week once exams get out i was thinking about putting the yak in behind kiawah. havent been fishing since christmas, been busy with golf team, and school. was going to put in at the bridge and fish the flats and oysters on the stono side of the bridge, or put in at beachwalker park and fish capt sam’s inlet area. was wondering if anybody has been fishing around there lately. any reports or sugestions? thanks

oh and if anybody wants to tag up, i think me and topwatercrazy are going to be out there next wednesday for the first day of summer!:smiley:

I fish that area quite frequently. I launched from the foot of the bridge and fished along the oyster beds and mud flats you spoke of a few weeks ago. Caught plenty of trout (mostly dinks) as long as the current is ripping through those oyster islands. Most fish caught on rootbeer DOA shrimp and paddle tail grub in electric chicken. I haven’t had a luck with reds, but the trout keep me busy.

I have not tried to fish Capt Sams inlet by yak yet (current seems pretty swift through there), but surf fish there as well.
