Has anyone caught king fish this year yet.
I’d like to know if it’s worth targeting them yet.
The water temp is cold for this time of year.
70 degrees yesterday
Any reports would be appreciated
Fished the ledge last thurs. not targeting king but first fish in box was about a 30 lb king in 130 foot. 72 degree
Lots of kings being caught off the piers around myrtle beach right now.
I’m planning on working the tideline and some of the reefs around edisto some next week
thanks…we’re trying it again tomorrow but I don’t think we’ll be able to get far enough off shore…We did !

Far enough and yes…Captain has sworn me to silence about where. We’re fishing the tournament this saturday so
I went out dolphin fishing last Saturday and around the third channel buoy out we saw some splashing that got our attention, turned around to get a better look at what it was, I am not sure if they were kings but I am 90% sure it was a large school of them tearing up the bait in the water, they were all chasing bait at the surface this was probably in 50ft of water.
