To whom it may concern,
Hello, my name is Todd Knight and I am putting on, promoting a king mackerel fishing event in Charleston, SC on June 18-19 2010. My event is called KING MACKERAL FISHING FOR VETERANS it’s a charity event with all processed made going to veteran based charities all branches included. I am asking you for your help with maybe a charitable contribution and maybe a spot in your magazine for promotional purposes. I can provide you with a tax exempt ID number in return. I know the economic situation we are in is a tuff one but the returning VETs are in a fare worse spot in their lives than any other. Many are returning home with no homes to come to and no prospects of work. With my tournament I hope to make a small dent in helping them and there families. Veterans and active duty military will also be participating and have a opportunity to fish on boats and maybe for the day forget their worries and just have fun for the day. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you in the future.
Thank You, Todd Knight

The Veterans King Mackerel Fishing Tournament is to help bring attention to what our Active Duty and Veterans live with daily. We take freedom for granted but these people are the reason why we are lucky enough to live as we do. Some of our Veterans and Active Duty personnel need our help. I hope to obtain the media and public spotlight on the problems that many have and help get the means to correct them. All proceeds made during this fishing event will be divided equally between the different Morale Welfare Recreation groups and veterans charities. This tournament is open to the public. I am asking for at least a $50.00 per boat entry fee. We will award prizes in the King Mackerel, Spanish mackerel and Spot Tail Bass categories. I am also asking participating boats to think about taking an Active Duty or Veteran out on the water with them to fish. These boats will be competing for a plaque in any of the three categories.
This is my way of giving back a little something and to thank the Active Duty and Veterans for what they are doing and what they have done.
Regards
Todd Knight

Ever think that some people just shouldnt be on the water, but hey its funny for the rest of us!
Really like the idea of having a redfish category along with king mackeral in the same tournament… That opens it up to a lot more people and also lets us guys with the little boats, that prefer to king fish, have a back up plan for redfish if the weather doesn’t look good to get outside the jetties.
I can’t commit to fishing this far in advance, but I’m in for an entry fee either way.
