Kings 11/22

We went to our favorite king spot (65’) Tuesday morning. The ocean was slick. We bought frozen cigar minnows, but we jigged up the largest cigars I have ever caught. We arrived at our spot approx 9:30. Water temp was 65, perfect… By 11:30 we had caught 11 kings all between 20-30 lbs. We lost several bigger fish to light tackle and light wire. We ran the downtigger at 50’, but had to stop because we were hooking the largest “endangered” black sea bass we have ever seen. Most of the kings were caught on top. Ran back to Georgetown at 50mph and were home by 12:30. Great day. Nothing could be finer…

Sure good to finally hear about someone landing Kings!
Ya gotta post a few pics!
I’ve been told by many locals that they are quite acrobatic.
One of these days I’ll call them on it and go king fishing!
