Kings in shallow water

I’ve always fished for kings in water 80+ deep but interested in trying more shallow.
Any advice fishing for kings in 60 ft or less? Are you still running a downrigger halfway down with 3-4 baits on top?

Yes the same way. Right now the kings are very close to the beaches lots of smokers being caught around the piers right now
