Any kings being caught near MI? Was hoping to see some reports or is it still to early?
Talked to a friend who charters out of MI yesterday who said he has been picking at them in 85-115ft of water but nothing to really write home about.
I saw 2 at the dock Sat
One was a STUD
Planned on hitting belky a couple times but the dolphin bite has been so good this year I just kinda forgot about the kings. This weather isn’t helping either, but going to try a couple days later this week. Ill post a report

How far of a run to find dolphin?
Till you find them:wink:
60+ out of MI, we have been doing good 250-500 ft. Apparently people are catching them in 100ft. We havnt tried that shallow yet.

The dolphin are scattered now. We caught them on 2 bottom fishing trips last week inside of 25 miles.
You can reliably catch dolphin, sailfish, and some Wahoo at the horseshoe this time of year. 80-90’…40 miles from the MI jetties. I don’t know what the deal with the Kings is. We don’t seem to catch them like we used to in shallower water when trolling. Its odd. They don’t migrate big time like YFT’s so I dunno. I have seen a pile of cobia at Marlin Quay this year but not a ton of KM. Makes no sense.

This whole season has made no sense…
I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I’m going fishing…!!
