I had been using the palomar for hooks successfully but failing at swival, I tied a few yesterday using the offshore swivel knot and
it look good;however, think I’ll try CatchyUserName’s .

San Diego Jam. Field and Stream did a test some yeas back for best terminal knot and it beat palomar and improved clinch (which I’d used until then). Quick and easy to tie, sort of a double line clinch. It has worked well for me

I tie the simple clinch knot with 100lb mono and they never fail. They’re easy and they work.
