Hey guys, anyone know of someone who will sand prime and paint an outboard? I am thinking I want to freshen up the old Yamaha? I can pull it off the boat. I know a guy in Florida does it for 600 buts that a hike and shipping would be high. Any ideas?

not sure if he paint other peoples motors, but its worth a shot

Sent you an email. I’m an industrial coating specialist (wood, mostly). If you just need to “freshen up” your motor, I can probably do it for a reasonable price as long as I can source the proper paint. I’ve not ever painted an outboard, but we have the right coating atomization technology in our shop for it, as well as the proper spray booth setup, and I’ve been wielding the spray gun for 8 years now.
Note that I’m not trying to undercut any of the actual professional boat painters out there. I’m sure they would do a “factory quality” job where I might not be perfect. Just depends on your goals.
