This could be of concern to those of you who launch on the Lexington side. In the State newspaper today.

they appear ready to take this action due to the action of those that just do not give a (**() about anything but themselves. it is a shame that some people are adamant about not using common sense and courtesy. seems like as soon as we get a good thing going it is ruined by a few.
Coolbreeze, that is usually the case but I don’t think that’s the case here. I use koon landing all the time and have never seen anything out of hand and I haven’t seen much litter at all. I think this is an elitist group of snobs that don’t want us common people coming out onto their island.
Tom i agree with you. Its not the litter or anything like that but more the fact that people park all along the road and anywhere they can find a spot. they should take a survey to see how many people are actually using the “camping” area and bulldoze that area if alot of people are not using it and pave for more spots. I think this action has disaster written all over it. And of course the local homeowners don’t have a problem with ramps having times and or fees; they don’t use them cause the local houses around there have boats in the water. Have they ever fished 5 days in a week and had to pay 5/10$ per day. i have and it sucked. Glad i don’t use this ramp anymore, but bad part about that was i was thinking of starting to use it more this winter and spring. thats my improper grammer vent…lol…
tom; you and murray are right also but still a part of it is the litter and the parking just anywhere that people want. i do agree with you somewhat on the homeowners not wanting the rest of us to be around their "precious " land. it is almost like some of the others. once they live on the lake they think that they own it and do not want anybody else to use it. just a thought from a simple man from lexington.
Sad thing is, they bought there lil 1/4 acre of heaven right next to a public ramp, and want to complain about it. This is just the beginning…coming to a ramp near you in the future.
it’s not my fault they chose to live on the lake. all the other public ramps are free arent they? this will prob stop me from going to this ramp. jerks that live on the lake suck
We should do a protest by driving our boats around their neighborhood every weekend until they reopen it.
We have a better time with those yankees when we bow fish…the reflections from the sodium lights light up their houses like high noon…you should see em jump out of bed. But I suppose it want be long till they cry about that enough fot it to get stoppped too. My Great-Great-Grandaddy Wessinger would be laughing at what that lake has turned into.

yeah, I think SCE&G #3 and #4 are the only free ones. I think they should pave the camping area and close the ramp on the other side and make it spill over parking. But I guess that would cost money, not make money
