kyak or canoe for husband and wife

I am looking for a kayak or canoe to take the wife fishing. We love fishing around inshore for reds, mackerel and such this time of year. We also have a time share in Pensacola in late oct and I want to take it with us then also. I cant decide on Kayak or Canoe. What works best for fishing and is a kayak or canoe better in slight choppy inshore? Wife does not like the idea, but I am sure she will love it when she tries it.

I have a 16’ canoe and love it. Fishing is great out of it.
I am able to take my wife and two little boys out in the creeks.
I will say that in windy conditions I do get pushed around a bit so I do a weather check before heading out.

Take a look at the Pro 2 Tandum By Malibu

This kayak is exceptionally stable, set up for fishing and easy to paddle

I had an Old Town Canoe once. It was fine for fishing, but if even a light wind picked up, it became almost impossible to get it to go where I wanted it to.

I thought my wife and little girl would want to use it with me but they never really liked it so I went back to a kayak. Now that I dont have the canoe, my little girl wants me to take her out on the kayak. So now I could use the canoe again or maybe a two up kayak.

Guess I just need more than one kayak.

finally settled on a good beginner system but I hate that its not made in america. that sucks I bought the Field and Stream Eagle Talon 12, which has everything I needed to get started including 2 built in rod holders and one extra up front. A nice Kayak for $449, but I would have paid more for american made. I just was too excited to look and I regret that now. But I have a new problem. Where to fish this Saturday?
