So, yesterday, Jonah, my 5 year old and I decided if we got the grass cut and the peanuts picked off, we were gonna go fishing for a bit. Well, he got to work with me and we knocked the chores out. We hit the water around 3PM and headed to the honey hole. Again, not another boat in sight. We caught our bait and went to town on em for a while. First fish in the boat was a juvenile grouper caught on a pearl white Gulp! 4" shrimp. Not sure if it was a black or a nassau, but cool nonetheless. Next was a nice redfish on the same bait. Then, it was time to hit the grasslines. We ended up with 7 redfish, 3 flounder, a croaker that weighed 3.5lbs and the juvie grouper. Jonah boated his biggest flounder to date at 25". So, what kind of slam do I call that because I know that our catch is rare indeed in Little River, SC! LOL I’ll get a pic of that grouper up soon. Hope y’all had a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. Time spent on the water with my son is time I will remember forever. I am truly a blessed man.
Sounds like a great day! Good Job!
