Ladder for a Flats boat?

I have an old '96 Key West Stealth. I take my boat on lakes occationally and would like to swim in this hot weather BUT I cannot find a portable ladder that will fit the wide gunnels to get my big butt back in the boat. Anybody got any suggestions other than buying a bay boat with a platform on the back.

Thanks

Climb in on the back of the boat. Use the poling platform to hang onto and use the motor as a foothold.

Poor man’s ladder. I take my boat down to the Keys every now and then and we snorkle off it. That is how we get back on, step on the foot of the motor (I have one of those fin attachments) and pull yourself up. I keep saying and am going to find (or make) a ladder, just haven’t done so yet. I am thinking about something made out of rope and pvc pipe so it is easy to store.

I bet Happy Bob could make you one. He’s made almost anything for a boat out of aluminum you can think of!

We have one of these, wife loves it. I like it because I don’t have to take it along fishing.

you guys are top shelf! I like that idea of the ladder. Will investigate more. I am 55 years old so the old knees aren’t as pliable as they once were…Thanks again.

they make a rope ladder that hangs on a cleat

or

you can stand on the lower unit and hit the up button then just step into the boat.

Yeah, just try to pass an aluminum $100 bill. Still working on that one.

For those of you using the motor as a step, be extra carefull. I’ve seen some NASTY gashes from a slip into the prop.
