Heading up to Lake Fontana in NC next week. anyone been there and have any advice for fishing the lake?
Nope. But the train ride past it was awesome!
I’ve got a friend who goes with a group every year. They troll for walleye and I think trout. They go just for that. Downriggers. It’s a deep clear lake I think the main forage in the lake is threadfin and herring. Hope that helps.
If you like trout fishing there is a great small stream down river from the dam has some great native trout
