anybody doing any good with the stripers on hartwell…heard of a few spots on coneross…any luck with you all…might be heading down saturday
Find a point on main channel and pull boat up on bank and throw out fresh cut bait on the bottom.
I put out 4-6 lines and be sure and throw a couple out to the side of the boat shallow, that should be a good bite for the next month or so.
U Rigs should also be working off of points if you like to use them
I like to start out this time of year pulling planer boards first thing in the am and then switch over to cut bait after the sun gets up good if I am not getting bites
The Seneca River part is good but I normally avoid that section due to all the boats, I prefer the Tugaloo section of the lake
Good luck

I am done with Hartwell,to many tubes,jet skis,ski boats,pontoons…
good luck, its work trying to catch fish there right now…
i know the feeling
you need to take a trip to Clarks Hill, that would be my new fishing grounds…
The Hill is a great fishery. Best year (2007) I ever had striper fishing. There was a big fish kill, don’t know what it did to the fishery. Don’t get to fish it like I used to. Sucks!
Good luck if you head down that way.

We went Friday night and stayed until about 11AM Saturday. We caught these stripers and hybrids at the Coneross bridge near Friendship ramp on live BB and shad. The largest was around 10 lbs. We caught bait up the creek and at the bridge. We also released a small crappie and several small stripers.

Taz was you with two other guys on a pontoon…Me and my friend went out saturday morning and the wind blew us around as if we were a kite…we were on fish al day next minute /sec it was blowing us off them…they are out there hard but staying on them is the problem…we couldnt get them to bit…maybe we wasnt deep enough down since the wind was blowing us.,thinking we should have let out some more slack cause of the wind…i talked to some guys on a pontoon that had went night fishing that night and had caught them at the bridge…so we are going night fishing next…now we have to figure out what will be the best night to go…
That was us. Most of the stripers were caught early Saturday morning before daylight and the hydrid after sunrise. I had a hard time getting the pontoon loaded with that strong cross wind. We all had to be somewhere else Saturday afternoon or we would have stayed longer.

Taz gotta quick question for you.did you tie up in the channel under the bridge with lights or do it really matter where you tie up just as long as you draw bait in…im thinking about hitting the bridge tomorrow…
We were tied up to the bridge but just off the channel and used a halogen light powered by a generator. We had thousands of baitfish up near the surface. If you can anchor somewhere near the bridge it should work too. Most of that area was around 35’ deep.
