Anyone know anything about Lake Jocassee? I would like to camp around there with kayaks and fish, for a few days. I know this isn’t the greatest place to ask but I felt like all the website about it are just “oh this is the greatest, trophy trout and bass” etc etc

Been a few times, certainly no expert. Camp at Devils Fork SP or look for primitive sites up the Horsepasture branch of the lake. It’s certainly a beautiful place even if fish aren’t biting.
Wife and I used to camp there back when it was primitive camping only ( weren’t any of the cabin rentals then )up on the left side of Dismal Creek. There is a small cove on the left where you can access higher ground close to the water to pitch tents.
Couple of nice water falls there too…
