We are heading up to Lake Joccassee for the boat in camping in a couple weeks. I have never been up there so I’m not sure what to expect other than a clear lake. Any good fishing? Slow trolling? Cool spots to check out?
if you fish the NC side get a 3 day license, and you don’t need a trout stamp anymore (pretty sure) if you want to keep trout

There are lots of waterfalls you can pull up to by boat, and Oconee Station Falls is a short ride away. Slow troll for trout around deeper points or suspended bait. Don’t pass on the good bass fishing on that lake either. Good luck that is a beautiful lake!!!
Also Pretty Place Chapel is about an hour ride away and so worth the visit.
